Somewhere between classic and more of the same...
I appreciate the programming chops to make the slick environments and generate enemy skins and music on the fly, but all this randomness just amounts to a lot of variations around, well... more of the same. Not much new or exciting compared to most other bullet hells.
Acutally, played through more. the backgrounds rock, but the ships suffer from a serious case of what we in the "biz" like to call... "programmer art"
But yeah. Like the evolution system, it's different than the "grab the next biggest gun" scheme.

It's a cannon game. That's all there is to it.

You've got something there,
it's just not worth a 0 or a 10.
The feet/legs seem like you were just being lazy, compared to the rest of the page.
If you're looking at improving it somewhat, start with his pose. The way he's leaning, he's gonna fall over, even if you're going for 'action'. 'stiff' shoulders too.
Yeah, I see - and thanks for a decent review :)
Those legs... Dunno what I can do with them. :S

Changing sound output?
Go to File->publish settings. There should be a audio stream/event option, just up the sound quality, it won't muffle/downsample the sound.
play around with it, fair warning though, it ups the filesize.
otherwise... yeah. it's copying VGcats to flash.

It works...
Nice intensity, the only thing holding it back was... well, the foreshortening/perspective/anatomy.
Art forum buzzwords, but they can still really break the illusion if you ignore them.
