preloader plz!!

the site does have them available for download.

and animate it?
it's kinda boring...

hunter2009 responds:

yeah, i forgot to put on in, ill go do that and update it. thanks.

hehe... nice.

This is how i do all my school reports when the teachers let me animate them.
i sit down with my trusty tablet... go into the Zone, and don't come out until it's done. usually guaranteed an "A", and it's better than writing essays.

did you Copy/paste any of the stuff? (the arm-foldey thing seemed repetitive)
and... just a thin brush tool? great style to the characters!
ya should put some stuff up in the art forum if you have any stills.

SpikeVallentine responds:

art forum on NG?

ahah, i know what you mean, thats wonderful! doing an anim instead of essay!

Yeah i copied and pasted some stuff! RECYCLE! ahhaha. that recycle move was very concpisoucs though.

Yes, thinest brush. I always at least zoom in 150% while i draw.

I'm using a mouse...but the Cintiq tablet looks sooo amazing, it might convert me to a tablet user.

very nice...

i've really never gotten anything done in 3ds Max... yours was epic!

not to be the failed magician, revealing all the tricks to the audience, but i gotta ask.... how did you do the explosions? well, i know they're particles, but how did you texture them?
ink 'n'paint works really nice on the tanks :D

can't wait to see more!

thelonelyduck responds:

The explosions were done, like you said, with a particle system (parray) and the texture for them was an Ink and Paint (2 tone) with a falloff shader based on distance from the explosion origin. For the fiery look, I placed a bunch of lights at high intensity (~5) around the base of the explosion and turned down the intensity as the explosion died.

Sorry it that was a little confusing.

CG

reminds me of "there she is"?

nice. lagged horribly on my computer tho...

and to S-K, the movie looks like it was imported into a program like After-effects or something, to turn it into a bitmap, and you can use imported graphics in flash, it doesn't all have to be vector.

krazykartoons responds:

Thank you for your review.
I'm not animating in Flash anymore...
that's the reason for HUGE SIZE movies, I did use many softwares for the edit and final composite, so what you see isn't vectors. :)

crazy good.

tons of great effects...
intresting workflow, but i'd work in the other direction...
(import bones to photoshop, shade, export as .png's and tween 'till done.)

good stuff....

fourchinnigan responds:

I went from Flash into After Effects, not Photoshop.
That would just be crazy 0_0

overused already?

can't really beat the the one by Scott. (of vgcats fame)

nice song choice tho.

Oggy-cheese responds:

I wasn't attempting to beat the one by Scott, as I made this before him, or any of the other 'Still Alive' Flashes, look at the date submitted.

meh.

the reason it lags is because of all the filter rape...

comedy's not that bad tho.

Wampo responds:

i used filter only in the preloader... i thought it was a bit heavy, too^^

you need to stop shaking.

your lines are too sloppy. you need to focus while drawing these things...

also brush tool + gradient never works well.

Fiskmannen responds:

Okay. :O

nice song....

you've mastered the art of ripping pictures off of google images... not a single lyric's actual sung.

(were those bleeding speakers?)

thanks for letting me vent!

Binyom responds:

Vent away! (Yea, bleeding speakers are cool.)

xoxo

utopian as an actual program, i'm afraid..

nice concept, but to get anything beyond a doodle (hence paint i suppose) you'd need some sorta top/side/front 3 drawings for 3d.

(didn't magic pengel do that?)

Monkeycraft responds:

never played Magic Pengel but I've seen the X-play review and it does have a similar idea. thanks for the review

stroke path... the funniest name for a tool EVER. i have the hand-eye coordination of a monkey with too much caffeine.
